The orchestra's chief conductor

Guido Mancusi knows the Viennese musical and concert tradition inside out. Music has been his passion ever since he was a boy: he has been deeply immersed in the Austrian world of music since his time as a soloist with the Vienna Boys' Choir. He studied vocal performance, bassoon, composition and conducting in Vienna. Guido Mancusi's talent did not go unnoticed and he received numerous scholarships and sponsorship awards. Guido Mancusi had the opportunity of learning from artists whom he admires greatly, such as Adam Fischer and Riccardo Muti at the Scala in Milan. He has a very rare gift: he is not only a highly talented musician, but also a conductor and composer. Experts have repeatedly referred to him as the Johann Strauss of the 21st century.

Despite his busy schedule as a conductor and his numerous concert tours in Austria, the UK, Japan and the US, among others, he often finds time to compose his own music. That is how many of his compositions came into being, including the waltzes "The Viennese", "Nights in Bucharest", "Stroll through Rome" as well as the "Mother-in-law gallop". He composed all these works exclusively for the orchestra he directs, the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna. Guido Mancusi is also a highly sought-after composer for commissioned work, which is performed exclusively by the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna on special occasions and during concert tours. It thus comes as no surprise that Guido Mancusi has been called the "Waltz and Polka King".
